FAQs

The event is specifically geared toward the African American experience in the Reformed tradition of Christianity. Since space is limited, we try to make registration available to this community first. However, we welcome other attendees to come and learn.

Yes, LDR is hosted by the African American Ministries under Mission to North America, which is part of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).

LDR stands for leadership, development, and resource.

LDR is designed to help leaders at all stages discover how God is guiding them to faithfully serve within their vocational calling and giftedness. All believers interested in advancing the gospel through their influential leadership are encouraged to attend.

Yes! Students in middle and high school (grades 6-12) are encouraged to participate in LDR. Register your student the same as yourself. Unfortunately, due to Covid 19 concerns, we will not offer a Youth Track this year. All students should wear a mask unless fully vaccinated.

Register your student and indicate his or her grade in the space provided. The registration rate for students is the same. If this is a barrier, please email ldr@aampca.org first to request a reduced “family rate.”)

Due to Covid, we will NOT be offering childcare in 2022.

Dinner (Friday & Saturday) + Lunch (Saturday)

Due to Covid concerns, free housing through host families will not be offered. Instead, hotels with discounted rates have been secured and can be reserved by clicking on the hotel above. Rooms are limited and on a first come, first serve basis. Please follow the rules and dates of the hotel. Ride share options are easy and available in Charlotte.

The African American Ministries is devoted to the flourishing of African Americans in the PCA. Join AAM to tell us more about you, your needs, and ways you’d like to get involved.
