McCallie is seeking to hire an assistant chaplain. The successful candidate will come alongside and report to our current chaplain and support the spiritual life of the school community. McCallie’s motto is from the Westminster Shorter Catechism, “Man’s Chief End Is To Glorify God And To Enjoy Him Forever,” and McCallie believes spiritual formation to be squarely within its mission. Specifically, McCallie is a Christian school that is welcoming to and respectful of boys and families of other faith traditions.
The chaplain will be expected (i) to provide pastoral care to all students, including by maintaining a loving, welcoming, and respectful attitude toward students and families of all faith traditions, (ii) to assist with chapel, (iii) to support Christian programs, clubs, and ministries on campus, and (iv) to teach at least one class in the school’s Bible department. The chaplain may also be assigned duties within the school’s extensive extracurricular or residential life programs.

This is a ten month, full-time position. It is considered exempt under the FLSA, and it is eligible for full benefits.
