Alex Shipman

Alex Shipman is the Senior Pastor of The Village Church in Huntsville, AL, a cross-cultural/multi-ethnic PCA congregation. After coming to Christ at Valdosta State in Georgia, Alex began to sense a call to full-time ministry. From 2001-2006, he worked as the Outreach Coordinator at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Greenville. In 2006, he moved to Decatur AL, where he was the Mercy Ministries Intern for Decatur Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2008. On November 13, 2011, The Village Church was particularized and Alex was installed as pastor.

Alex joined the AAM team in 2012. He created the African American Presbyterian Fellowship (AAPF), which catalyzes regional networks to provide encouragement and support for leaders. He also coaches and mentors teaching elders and pastoral candidates seeking ordination.

Alex and his wife Wyketa live in Huntsville, Alabama with their two children, Madison and Treyson.
