Kellie Brown

Kellie Brown, a native of St. Louis, MO, moved to Charlotte, NC, in 2003 to help plant, with her husband Howard Brown, Christ Central Church, a multi-ethnic congregation. Howard and Kellie are currently planting Kindred Hope church in Atlanta, GA. Since joining the PCA in 1993, Kellie has served as an assessor for the Church Planting Assessment Center, and has spoken throughout the PCA on church planting, race, and women in leadership, among other topics. She served as a Women’s Shepherd and has led the music ministry at Christ Central. She’s also served as a mentor to cohort participants for the Institute for Cross Cultural Mission (ICCM). Kellie enjoys encouraging, supporting and mentoring black women, particularly those in majority white church contexts. Formerly, she co-founded a performing arts non-profit, NoDa School of Arts, where she also directed and taught hundreds of children in theatre. She earned a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Valdosta, GA.

Kellie joined AAM in 2020 and serves in the role of Operations Manager, where she oversees the day-to-day functions of the ministry and coordinates LDR Weekend.

Kellie and Howard have two incredible sons, Harrison and Clark.
