Wy Plummer


Wy Plummer received his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Howard University and a master of engineering degree from Johns Hopkins University. He worked as an electrical engineer with IBM and the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. In 1990, Wy left his career to pursue seminary training at the Chesapeake Theological Seminary in Baltimore, MD, where he received his Master of Divinity. In 1995, he was ordained as a PCA teaching elder. He served in Baltimore as co-pastor of New Song Community Church and assistant pastor at Faith Christian Fellowship.

Wy became the African American Ministries Coordinator in 2000. In his role as Coordinator, Wy ensures that ministry activities are aligned with AAM’s mission and goals. He also recruits, places, and mentors African American church leaders, and helps the PCA plant churches that are committed to reaching the African American community.

Wy and his wife Shirley worship at a cross-cultural PCA church in Chattanooga, TN called New City Fellowship, where Shirley works as bookkeeper.
