Alicia Jackson

Dr. Alicia Jackson is an Associate Professor of History at Covenant College. Her research interests include Reconstruction Era, African American history, and Southern history and folklore. Her most recent publications include Having Our Own: The Colored Methodist Episcopal Church and the Struggle for Black Autonomy in Education, and Southern Cultures: Essays Honoring Charles Reagan Wilson. She has also contributed to the Mississippi Encyclopedia and was awarded a Louisville Project Grant for Researchers in 2016 for her current book project, The Recovered Life of Isaac Anderson, a work that follows the life of a pivotal leader in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and Georgia politics.
